In 1936, after learning the art of shoemaking from their grandfather, Bruno Magli and his siblings, Marino and Maria, began crafting women’s shoes in a small basement in Bologna, Italy. Bruno’s imagination and creativity produced beautifully crafted shoes and original designs and in 1948, the family opened their first factory. With the start of the 1950’s, Italian footwear began to be recognized throughout Europe and the rest of the world as an expression of taste and economic standing. The Maglis were the first in Italy to understand the importance of targeting production for export, and it was the beginning of a prosperous time that would lead Bruno Magli to become a symbol for quality Italian footwear around the world. As they continued to grow, the collections expanded to include men’s and women’s accessories and leather apparel. Today, almost 80 years after the company was founded, Bruno Magli continues to be defined as a classic Italian luxury brand, priding itself on a dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

The English soap Company was founded eighteen years ago by Bob & Juliet after discovering a large number of vintage soap moulds lying disused in a machinery workshop farm in Kent.
Inspired by the wonderful designs from a bygone age they set out to recreate the luxury soap they remembered from childhood, and used modern twists to create some of the finest vegetable soaps available.
Years were spent in perfecting the art of soap making and perfumery to make the perfect soap. A soap that is smooth and silky in texture, moisturising and above all is effused with a luxurious designer perfume that lasts until the end of the bar.
The Ancient Romans famously recognised the medicinal benefits of regular bathing. Although public baths were a common feature of Ancient Greek towns, they usually featured only small bathtubs, foot bowls and hand basins. The Romans surpassed this by building elaborate public bathhouses, called thermae, in towns and cities throughout the empire. Romans believed that cleanliness was a vital aspect of health and fitness, and public bathing was a recreational activity— people would visit the public baths to relax, socialise, recuperate, and even do business.
Bathing also plays a key role in traditional Chinese medicine. The Ancient Chinese mixed medicine, flowers or herbs into hot water as a therapeutic treatment, and believed that bathing could help to restore depleted levels of Yin, the watery, cooling, calming energy.
